Cocktail Making

For all the people who might come out of the quarantine as budding bartenders, here’s a chance for you to learn to mix tempting cocktails at home to complement the food you make. Talented chef and mixologist Eeshan Kashyap, of PCO bar, has teamed up with Quarancharity to host a digital session on ‘Cocktail Making 101’. Quarancharity is an initiative by Mumbai-based marketing consultant Pri Shewakramani and popular blogger Scherezade Shroff, which includes chefs, mixologists and fitness trainers among others, conducting online classes for those interested. The fee collected is donated to three NGOs, Habitat for Humanity, Goonj and Animal Adoption & Care.

The Fraternity Talks

In the second session of ‘The Fraternity Talks’ hosted by fashion designers Shantanu and Nikhil, couturier Rahul Mishra will talk about Indian crafts, sustainability and everything Haute post the pandemic. Furthermore, a hand-embroidered ‘Dareecha’ gown designed by Mishra is set to be auctioned at the session for a starting bid of ₹1,20,000. The proceeds from this sale will go towards the Fashion Design Council of India’s COVID-19 relief fund.

The Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA) has been hosting art workshops every Saturday, which helps you get creative using the basic supplies available at home. National Theatre at Home

The National Theatre in London’s efforts to bring drama to our homes, quite literally, is something we just can’t miss. National Theatre at Home includes famous dramas, filmed live at the museum, streamed for free on YouTube for a global audience. Each title is available on the digital platform for a week. They are currently streaming William Shakespeare’s comedy Twelfth Night featuring Tamsin Greig as Malvolia. The title we’re also looking forward to is Frankenstein, directed by Academy Award winner Danny Boyle starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller.
