In January this year, when Beyoncé and Adidas launched the first Ivy Park collection, it was all sold out in just a day’s time, much to the disappointment of Bey’s loyal followers. And now she is back with an improved and even more fantastic second-time collaboration of Adidas x Ivy Park, which went online on October 29 and will be available in stores tomorrow..
Titled ‘Drip 2’, the new line-up is a trendsetting, wholesome collection of full of athletic apparel, footwear from sportswear giant Adidas and accessories. This time, the size range is more inclusive, from XXXS to 4X, and the designs make for perfect gender-neutral clothing.
In essence, Adidas x Ivy Park Drip 2 taps in to the growing trend of performance gear and wear, offering a functional, comfy and day-to-night fit. The colour palette bursts with vivid hues of dark green, neons, coral, yellow tints and caramel brown.
Beyoncé has modelled most of the apparel herself for the launch campaign ‘This is my Park’, revealed in parts, on her Instagram that boasts of a strong 155 million followers. Cropped hoodies, bralettes, bodysuits, wide-legged tracks, cycling shorts, a crisp, dapper blazer, jackets and twinning sneakers and stilettoes were some designs she flaunted, looking like a total diva.
A host of cool accessories such as waist bags, belts, beanies and caps, duffle bags stamped with ‘IVYPARK’ logotype are perfect utility additions.
The footwear range has been expanded too. There are a few updated versions of the IVY PARK Ultra Boost, Nite Jogger, Super Sleek 72 and Forum sneaker. The new lacing and hook systems lets the wearer clip the shoes for a gym bag.
Beyoncé launched Ivy Park as an activewear line in 2016 in partnership with Arcadia Group. In 2018, she acquired all the shares of her brand, becoming its sole owner and went on to associate with Adidas in 2019.
