BMW India has launched the 2021 facelift edition of Mini Countryman in two new petrol variants – Mini Countryman Cooper S and Mini Countryman Cooper S JCW (John Cooper Works inspired). Both the models have been locally produced in Chennai, at the BMW Group Plant.
The stylish and versatile sports activity vehicle (SAV) is priced at Rs39.50 lakh for Cooper S and Rs43.40 lakh for Cooper S JCW. Equipped with a refreshed design and updated technology, Mini Countryman is dubbed as an ideal car for city drives as well as long road journeys.

It comes in six different colours choices, white silver, sage green, midnight black, chilly red, island blue and British racing green. Mini Countryman is powered with two-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine and the new Mini TwinPower Turbo Technology, adding improved performance and efficiency.

Coupled with peak horsepower of 192 hp and maximum torque of 280 Nm, Mini Countryman picks up the speed of 100 km/hr in 7.5 seconds at a top speed of 225 km/hr. The updated model also has a new 7-speed double-clutch Steptronic sport transmission for a more hands-on and comfortable driving experience.
The 2021 facelift model boasts classy, modern interiors. The updated makeover of the cabin of Mini Countryman Cooper S features Interior Surface Piano Back with carbon black leatherette upholstery. The Cooper S JCW fashions a new trim Mini Yours Interior Style Shaded Silver upholstery with options of leather chester malt brown or leather chester satellite grey.

Enhancing the driving experience, even more, is the electric seat adjustment with a memory function for the driver’s seat. The three-seating rear space offers a flexible and comfortable head and shoulder space. The new Mini Countryman is also equipped with a unique Picnic Bench that folds in and out of the luggage compartment and opens up a seating space for two.

The car is equipped with wireless charging, Harman Kardon Hi-Fi speaker system, Mini Wired package that includes Mini navigation system with touch controller and Bluetooth. Mini Cooper S JCW features a new multifunction fully-digital display. The head-up display further helps to stay focussed on the road without missing details like of the navigation and driving speed. Additionally, the car’s Driving Assistance mode includes cruise control, park assistance and rear-view camera.

The Mini Excitement Pack introduces LED interior and ambient lighting that lights up the cockpit with colours and a projection of the MINI logo on the driver’s side, whenever the car door is closed or opened.
On the tech front, the safety features include front passenger airbags, brake assist, anti-lock brake system, cornering brake control, 3-point seat belt, dynamic stability control, crash sensor and run-flat tyres. The standard ‘Minimalism’ technology introduces auto start and auto stop mode, active cooling air-flaps and electrically-controlled, assisted power steering.
