Gaggenau, a German giant for luxury home appliances by BSH, participated in Mumbai’s Economic Times Ace Tech 2019 trade fair for architecture, building materials, innovation and design, showing some of its finest goods.
A brand by the Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances, Gaggenau’s setup at the show allowed people to experience their luxurious handcrafted appliances.
High-end appliances like the fully automatic espresso machine 400 series, Vario gas cooktop 400 series, steam oven, the Vario fridge-freezer combination 400, worth ₹5 to ₹15 lakhs, were showcased at the exhibition.

Established in 1683, one of the brand’s top priorities are its customers. “Gaggenau is known for its high-end customised products, which are designed keeping in mind the consumer’s needs,” says Neeraj Bahl, Managing Director & CEO at BSH Household appliances.
So, if a customer wants a bottom mount instead of a top mount on an appliance or wants the fridge to open on the left side instead of right or wants the knob on the mid-section of the cooktop instead of the top section, Gaggenau makes these for them. Bahl adds, “It’s a personalised experience and that is the ultimate luxury.”
Trying out the uber-cool equipment was Chef Saransh Goila, who is known worldwide for his Goila Butter Chicken. “I think one of the most popular equipment from Gaggenau’s inventory is the steam oven. It is state-of-the-art, is digital and has an automated door.” This oven can save 50 recipes, and at the show, he prepared Paneer Tikka and Cranberry Salad. “Now that I have made this salad from scratch using this oven, the next time I want to make this dish. I will have to simply select Paneer Tikka and Cranberry Salad, and it will do the rest,” he adds.
