Goenka attended the Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland, where she trained under celebrity chef Rachel Allen, before moving to Le Cordon Bleu in London, to specialize in patisserie. In addition to her venture with TCSC, Goenka happens to be the youngestmember of theManagement Committee of the National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) and is spearheading initiatives around sustainability and employment in hospitality. Goenka has also received a number of awards. These include “Young Restaurateur of the Year” at the Restaurant India Awards 2018, and “Woman Entrepreneur of the Year” at Times Hospitality Icons, “Woman Empowerment Award” by Asia One magazine and the “Green Crusader Award” for sustainability from the Asif Bhamla Foundation, all received in 2019. Goenka also wrote and published her own book ‘Adventures with Mithai’ in October 2019, which won the prestigious TCSC helped Goenka redefine how restaurants in India curated desserts with a range of innovative offerings at her restaurants.
