Vivek Sahni CEO & Co-Founder, Kama Ayurveda Pvt. Ltd. P aving the way for Ayurvedic skincare in India Vivek Sahni, CEO and co-founder of Kama Ayurveda started the brand in 2002. Sahni, a graduate of Parsons School of Design, New York initially started his career with a design company in 1993. It was during this tenure that he had the opportunity to work on a project with the government for the Khadi and Village Industries Commission to revive the Khadi brand. The “Khadi exposure” helped him gain knowledge about natural cosmetic products, which led to his desire to make authentic Ayurveda-based formulae to meet modern-day demands of skincare and beauty. Channel his love for travel and India, Sahni says his current favourite travel spots include “… exploring and finding hidden gems in India.” Being a die-hard fan of Ayurveda, it is no surprise that Sahni winds down with his daily practice of Yoga and Kriya. On Friday evenings, one might find him with a glass of nimbu-paani, hanging out with a bunch of friends. “There are no shortcuts in life nor in building a business.
