The Magnolias by Nivasa
Nivasa, a 26-year-old design studio, is known for its prowess in bespoke furniture and lighting products. The brand features two different interior design styles, one is known as Nivasa Classic and the other is Nivasa Contemporary. Designer Rohit Kapoor, who is an Accountant by profession is the creative force behind the Classic project, while the Contemporary wing is headed by Chief Designer Saba Kapoor, a graduate from the Parsons and University of Arts London.

The designer duo’s newest residential project in Gurugram’s posh DLF locality is the one to admire. Called Magnolias by Nivasa, this super luxurious two-storey home covers an area of 10,000 sq. ft., overlooking the beautiful landscape of the Aravali mountain range.

The six-bedroom residence boasts of various spaces that introduce a mix of leisure and functional interior elements and furniture. Magnolia’s contemporary-styled living area features a ceiling chandelier, an elegant cream-coloured sofa and a wooden centre table. The large, French wooden windows, wall mirrors and art frames, sculptures and floral planters give a sophisticated finishing touch to the room.

The house is further divided into a double-height foyer, a double-height terrace, spacious corridors and a solid hardwood bar space that defines modern living, using a medley of minimal and maximal home decor pieces.

All the intricate elements were handmade or handsewn – from the use of natural wood in the flooring of the house to antique brass decor pieces, vintage-esque velvet chairs and leather armchairs. Every such furniture forms the basics of the old-world charm brought alive at Magnolia by Nivasa.
