In yet another collaboration between a luxury fashion brand and a sports league, Hugo Boss and NBA have released a capsule collection for Spring-Summer 2021. They will also launch a second, Fall-Winter collection in October this year.
Three-time NBA champion Draymond Green is the face for this co-branded, athletic yet sharp edit of menswear, inspired by the high-action basketball league. India experienced the first-ever NBA games in 2019, when Sacramento Kings and Indiana Pacers played two pre-season rounds in Mumbai.
The Hugo Boss x NBA menswear capsule, which is now available to shop (here), includes staples like long and short-sleeve hooded sweatshirts, track bottoms, crew neck sweatshirts, long and short-sleeve T-shirts, sweatpants and shorts.
The collection is awash with a palette of white, grey and black, making it perfect for mix and match. The simple and sporty design of the tees and the shorts echo the mood of the high-spirited NBA players in the court.
Giving the collection a stamp of originality is the official NBA logo as well as the nine team logos that adorn the apparel, from New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets to LA Clippers, Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls and others.
Hugo Boss x NBA campaign for S/S2021 also stars NBA G League forward Isaiah “Zay” Todd, Grammy-nominated rap artist Aminé, and jewelry designer Greg Yuna.
Last year, NBA also collaborated with Louis Vuitton on a comprehensive, limited-edition menswear line, designed by Virgil Abloh.
