It’s not all gloom and doom in the fashion industry. The Virgil Abloh x Nigo Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2020 collection has been recently launched.
Virgil Abloh, Men’s Artistic Director for Louis Vuitton joined forces with Japanese designer and DJ Nigo, for the Director’s first collaboration at the brand.
Called the LV² – Louis Vuitton squared, this joint project has resulted in some elegant and smart-looking range of products.
The capsule collection encompasses ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes and accessories. It features fantastic graphics and interpretations of the Louis Vuitton signatures.
The two designers have clubbed their individual approaches to style the products while staying true to Maison’s iconic codes.
The duo has retained the shape of classic bags–Keepall, backpacks, cross-body and weekend styles–and have reinvented them by incorporating key emblems of their collaboration. This includes a new monogram pattern imposed over the signature Damier checks.

The ‘LV Made duck’, which is part of this capsule, is the symbol of this arty and fashionable collaboration. It is a re-interpretation of the world of Nigo and his ‘Human Made’ signature, transformed in Louis Vuitton style.
In terms of innovation and design, this French luxury brand has been doing some superb work. Last month, they had launched the ‘Monogram Jenga Tower’, which has 54 ombre bars printed with monogram flowers and the LV logo. This set comes in a plexiglass box with a leather handle.
