On September 1, Samsung Electronics unveiled the next generation of its category-defining foldable device, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2. With a larger cover screen and massive main screen, the new-gen phone combines design and expert craftsmanship with great features.
The device has been launched in the global market at $1,999 (approximately ₹1,46,037) and is available for pre-order.
Its design is anchored by the hideaway hinge, which fits seamlessly into the device body with the CAM mechanism.
It sports two displays. 6.2-inch HD + Infinity-O Super AMOLED display on the outer cover; and a 7.6-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED flexible glass display on the inside shell.
Powered by a 7nm based octa-core processor that has 5G capabilities, it comes with 12GB of RAM clubbed with 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.
The device is equipped with Google’s latest Android 10 operating system as well as the company’s own OneUI 2.0 skin on top. It is backed by a 4,500mAh battery with support for fast charging.
The phone has a total of five camera sensors: three are located on the outer cover, which makes the primary camera module; and two sensors are attached as a hole punch in each of the displays.
