The 15 most gorgeous red carpet looks from Oscars 2021

After a year of virtual red carpets and couture photoshoots at home, it’s the Academy Awards that are bringing back the physical red carpet. The Oscars took place in-person at two locations, the Dolby Theatre and downtown Los Angeles’ historic Union Station, California.
After being postponed for almost two months, the 93rd Academy Awards were held on April 25th, with a strength of just 170 people at the Union Station. Here are Hollywood’s finest, donning their best gowns and jewels, strutting down the red carpet.
Zendaya

Zendaya brightens up the award show’s red carpet in a Valentino yellow chiffon dress, specially designed for her. The creation took up to 300 hours of work by hand at the fashion house’s atelier.
H.E.R

Best Original Song winnerH.E.R shines in custom DUNDAS. With a cobalt blue hooded capembellished with lyric motifs and a matching halter neck jumpsuither ensemble wins big fashion points.
Olivia Cooke

Though not physically present at the ceremony, Cooke shows her support virtually in a shimmery gown by Versace. The pink masterpiece is entirely covered in diagonal, fringe-effect crystal embroidery. 
Laura Dern

Laura Dern’s memorable dress is from Oscar De La Renta’s Fall 2020 Collection. The actress donned the velvet gown with an asymmetric feather skirt for the ceremony, where she presented the award for Best Supporting Actor.

Shades of red by Christian Dior and striking jewels by Bulgari comprise Reese Witherspoon’s look for the Oscars 2021. The actress stuns in the vivid dress and keeps her makeup simple, bringing the outfit together.

Winner of Best Original Screenplay for Promising Young WomanEmerald Fennell wore a Gucci Epilogue gown. The multicolour floral printed organdy gown with all-over sequin embroidery and ruffle details, suits the talented writer/director perfectly.

Colman Domingo ups the bling factor, in a custom fuchsia Versace getup. The three-piece suit, embroidered in 4,500 precious Swarovski crystals and sequins, golden buttons with a Medusa detail, took about 150 hours of painstaking embroidery.

Gracing the Oscar red carpet with a silk strapless gown by Gucci, is the nominee for Best Actress in a Leading Role, Vanessa Kirby. The pale pink is accentuated by a dramatic train and a dark bold lip.

Going gold for the Oscars is not a new trend, but this Vera Wang dress ups the oomph factor with massive cutouts and an asymmetrical hem. Day, a Best Actress nominee, wore this risqué metallic number featuring an exaggerated side train that mimics the flow of liquid gold
