Jaya Asokan Fair Director, India Art Fair S pearheading the India Art Fair 2022, new Fair Director Jaya Asokan is an important name in the art industry today. Before her association with the India Art Fair, Asokan worked as Senior Manager, Client Relations at the Mumbai auction house SaffronArt. She then served as Deputy Director and Director of Exhibitions for a period of four years, prior to her appointment as Fair Director. Being a part of the India Art Fair for a few years now, Asokan has played a significant role in repositioning the fair whilst spearheading international galleries and institutional participations. With a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and a graduate degree from Parsons School of Design in New York, Asokan holds over twenty years of experience in the creative industry. She is driven to promote diversity and development opportunities, she mentors start- ups, young professionals and is part of committees at prestigious grant-making organisations including the Fulbright Scholar Program. “We are trying to build as much momentum by educating people about different artists, art forms and movements.” Shalini Passi Founder, The Shalini Passi Art Foundation and MASH W ell known as a Delhi-based art collector, advisor, patron, and philanthropist, Shalini Passi is a force to reckon with. The Shalini Passi Art Foundation endeavours to support and encourage experimental new practices in the field of arts in India. Passi is also on the advisory board of Khoj Studios since 2012. Passi has been making strides in the field of art and philanthropy for a few decades now and she recently made her presence felt in the global world. In December 2021, at the 21st Century Icon Awards, House of Lords, London, UK, she was awarded for her work in the field of art and philanthropy.
